Fortinet SD-WAN Configurator.
Turn branch requirements into an indicative FortiGate family, resilience pattern, security profile and component set.
Describe the site and operating model.
This tool deliberately sizes from service requirements rather than a single throughput figure. Use realistic busy-hour requirements and include design headroom.

UMMIM sizing approach
The configurator combines site role, required throughput, security workload, tunnel scale, user/device population, resilience and design headroom. It intentionally avoids treating headline firewall throughput as a standalone sizing decision.
Indicative design aid only. Fortinet product capabilities, licensing and commercial SKUs change over time. Validate the final design against current Fortinet Product Matrix, model-specific datasheets, FortiOS compatibility and support/licensing rules before ordering or customer commitment.
An edge device is only one part of the service.
A production design also needs topology standards, management architecture, templates, logging, operational controls, resilience and lifecycle governance.
